A Monaco residence permit allows foreign investors to live in a prestigious European jurisdiction with no personal income tax and a consistently high standard of living. To qualify, applicants must place at least EUR 500,000 in a Monaco bank and purchase or rent suitable accommodation. Residence cards are issued in stages: applicants first receive a temporary card valid for one year, followed by an ordinary residence card valid for three years and, subsequently, a privileged residence card valid for 10 years. Although Monaco is not a member of the European Union, its residents can travel freely within the Schengen Area. Eligible family members may also obtain residence permits under the application.

Entrepreneurs with international income
Monaco’s zero personal income tax rate makes it an attractive jurisdiction for entrepreneurs whose income is generated outside the principality. As residents, they may establish companies and use them to structure their international business activities.
Investors and wealth managers
Families with children
Residence permits may be granted to the main applicant, their spouse, financially dependent children of any age and dependent parents. Family members gain access to high-quality education and advanced healthcare services.
International senior executives
As Monaco does not impose a fixed minimum stay requirement, residents retain a high degree of international mobility. Nice Côte d’Azur Airport is approximately 30 minutes from the principality, making business travel across Europe more convenient.
